I had a brainstorm the other day. I’d had some friends over to do some day-drinking on a Sunday (hey, what’s brunch without a little day-drinking??). As I was cleaning up, I started thinking about what to do with the leftovers. The berry cheesecake bites I’d made weren’t going to go to waste, that was for sure. The dill dip was going to be a perfect topping for our roasted salmon dinner. And the Sangria was quickly finished up by my hubby that evening.
But what about the bit of Wildtree Bloody Mary Mix I still had in the fridge?
FLASH! The light bulb went off. I’d use it as a marinade.
That coming Wednesday our schedule was jam packed. My trusty All-Clad Slow Cooker, which many of you know I have a love/love/love relationship with, was going to save dinner. And the Bloody Mary Mix was going to help remind us that the weekend wasn’t far off. The tomato base paired with the spicy & peppery flavors was the perfect match for that juicy pork tenderloin.
If you don’t know about Wildtree yet, let me school you a bit. Wildtree was founded by a mom looking for better, healthier options for her family. She started out by making her own spice blends, and then friends wanted the good stuff, too! She continued developing products with the highest quality herbs, spices and culinary blends that are free of preservatives, additives, fillers and promote a healthier lifestyle. The products help support the ever-increasing desire of making cooking a quicker, easier, more healthful project for those who are short on time.
OK, there’s my paid announcement (“paid” because I offer Wildtree products to clients near and far). But I am a true convert, feeling better about the products I’m using in my own kitchen.
And what better way to embrace healthier options than with Bloody Mary Mix?! And using this mix mid-week? Sold!
