You’ve seen this snack before, right? Call it Muddy Buddies. Call it Puppy Chow. I just call it “tasty goodness”. When the warming spices of Chai are added, it’s a combination that can’t be beat.

Instructions
  1. Measure out all of the ingredients so that you can easily grab & use each as you go.
  2. Over a double boiler (pot of water with a bowl placed over the top), boil the water. Add the chocolate & butter to the bowl over the boiling water.
  3. Using a spatula, slowly stir the chocolate & butter together, combining it into a smooth mixture as it melts. Be sure to keep your eyes on it though–you don’t want it to burn!
  4. Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat. Slowly stir in the cereal.
  5. Stir to make sure each piece of cereal is coated in the chocolate mixture.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar & Wildtree Chai Tea Mix.
  7. Toss the dry mixture with the chocolate-coated cereal. Be sure to evenly coat all of the cereal.
  8. Spread on a parchment-lined baking tray in a single layer. Allow to cool and set, about 10 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately, or store in mason jars or other airtight containers and keep for up to 2 weeks.
Recipe Notes

Let’s face it.  This recipe isn’t rocket science, and it’s not a new concept. But since I can never leave well enough alone, even with classics like a cereal party mix, I was excited to see Wildtree’s take on this holiday snack staple.  It even got me thinking about the variations on this easy treat that are waiting to be tried out.

How about S’mores? Or Peppermint?  What about savory options like Garlic, or Cheese?

Now you’re mind is racing, right? You could make these goodies all year long, and feel good about the spices and flavors you’re using.  After all, Wildtree products are certified-organic, GMO-free, and have lots of options for those with dietary restrictions.  What’s not to love about a snack like that??
