Salty. Sweet. Salty. Sweet. SALTY! SWEET! Which to choose? And which will your Valentine want? Well, with these crispy, salty, creamy (and did I mention super cute?) chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks, no one has to choose. Each part of the palate will be happy!
Now, I admit that I am not normally a sweets person. I mean, I like chocolate. I like sweet stuff in moderation. But salty? You have my full attention. What I like best about these easy little treats is that it provides the best of both worlds. And let’s face it, when you can make everyone happy, your stress subsides, and you can actually enjoy a little guilty pleasure like these salty/sweet yummies.
The very best part of these is that they are SO easy, and there are so many variations on colors, textures, flavors, shapes that you could make this a gift-giving tradition and change it up every single time. Pretzel sticks with white chocolate and red sprinkles? Valentine’s Day is taken care of! Pretzel bows with milk chocolate and green sprinkles? St. Patrick’s Day is served! Vanilla wafers with white chocolate and red sprinkles? Christmas on a plate. Heck, dark chocolate on bacon, sprinkled with cayenne (could that be foreshadowing of a recipe to come? Hmmmm…)? Well, that’s something for ANY day of the week!
So to get you started, here are some easy pretzel sticks with white AND milk chocolate, and the cookie sprinkles I had on hand. What a fun, simple, and delicious treat for that special person! #ChocolateLove continues, my friends!

Salty & sweet, all in one bite. Vary the types of chocolate, sprinkles, and other spices you add to these popular treats and watch them disappear. Now that's what I call a special treat!
|
- 1 bag thick pretzel sticks
- 1 8 oz. meltable milk chocolate
- 1 8 oz. meltable white chocolate
- cookie sprinkles, any variety
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave per the instructions on the container. Be sure to stir the chocolate in between heating intervals as each microwave will be different.
- Use spoon to coat each pretzel stick.
- Before chocolate sauce begins to harden, sprinkle pretzel stick with choice of cookie sprinkles. Place pretzel sticks on parchment or wax paper to harden.
- Serve them to someone you love! Done!
- Oh, and did mention that you can do variations for even more fun? How about white chocolate with various colored sprinkles? Still delicious!
Seriously, the possibilities of what to dip and what to use to sprinkle on top are really endless. Try these fun combinations:
1. White chocolate with chipotle pepper seasoning
2. Dark chocolate with cayenne
3. Milk chocolate with crushed pecans
4. Dip vanilla wafers, or potato chips, or corn chips in the chocolate of your choice
What combinations would YOU like to try?
