Game Day calls for Game Time food, and nothing says that better than Slow Cooker Chili!  While there are times and places for fancy, spicy or kicked up versions of this American classic, sometimes you just want hearty and tasty without the fuss.  This version is so simple you’ll want it on your dinner rotation even when there is no game to cheer for.

Game Time Slow Cooker ChiliThere are so many things I love about cold weather (I know, I’m an odd duck when it comes to that statement). But two of my favorite things about the Fall & Winter months are football and football food.  And few foods say “GO TEAM” as much as a steaming bowl of chili.

Being a food blogger, it’s in my DNA to want to change things up, play with ingredients, and create new and different ways of some of the dishes we all love.  However, even I get tired of the pressure to use the latest and trendy ingredients in dishes.  Sometimes I want something familiar and just plain delicious. This simple and super flavorful chili hits the spot in that regard, and that’s why I am turning the beautiful simplicity of recipes like this more often. I mean, you can’t argue with tried and true methods, right?

When I want a chili that is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, I turn to my Epicure ingredients.  Especially when there are more important things to pay attention to than how many ingredients I can get into a bowl of chili (like who’s playing in the big game!).  Epicure give me confidence that I will win the day with whatever I use them in.  That’s not only because they taste so great, but because I can be sure that there are no crazy chemicals or other unwanted ingredients lurking in them.

And this Chili Blend is a perfect example of that.  Bold flavors, trusted ingredients, and simplicity of use means this blend is on regular rotation in my kitchen.  Not only for chili, these flavors are super when used in baked beans, sprinkled on chicken wings, or even stirred into scrambled eggs.  Yeah, it’s that good.

Grab Epicure’s Chili Blend and grab your slow cooker for this Game Time Chili!  It will help you make sure that no matter the outcome of the game, you and your guests come out with a win!
